Ending

You hold Beomus' hand. It's fluffy, but also soft. But most importantly, your hand fits perfectly in theirs. You look into their eyes, and for a moment there is nothing else. A smooth breeze brings you back into reality. You hold them tightly as the sun begins to set. This was always your favourite spot. You always loved bringing Beomus here, and one day you knew you'd bring him up here one last time. A green hilltop with a singular tree. You're both resting against the tree, leaning into each other; watching as the sky performs an exhilarating light show when the sun begins to set. From a calming blue to a dark navy, golden streaks shoot across the sky. And then pink, and if you close your eyes you could imagine yourself in another world. But why would you do that, when this world is perfect. You think of the past, of all the happy moments you've shared.

You think about the fight against Ahmed. It wasn't quick, it wasn't pretty, and it wasn't clean, but you won. You stood amongst your friends and family, ready to fight Ahmed, to defeat the antagonist once more. Ed came up with a plan, and you, Beomus, and fellow citizens executed it. You were only able to trap another antagonist, but that means another age for you to live, another age for your family.

Another age for the kids, so they could have their own future. Oh the kids. They loved learning more about fleetpaw culture, as well as visiting auntie Athura in her cavern. At first they were a handful, baby dragonkin means that wood and anything else flammable quickly becomes forbidden from inside the house. Oh and you don't even want to remember the teenage years, the amount of times you had to get Beomus to repair the roof from them flying out the ceiling in a tantrum. But despite it all, they've grown up and they still remain the sweetest people you know. You and Beomus did good: they're great kids.

And now you think about everything that has lead you up to this point. The swampfly quest at Holbert that started this all, which let you met Beomus. Meeting the character in the_room and being given a quest. Becoming a dragon and changing your life forever. The fight against Siyah, the fight against Anton, and the fight against Ahmed. It's all lead up to now.

Bee.

Golden hour is nearly over, so you lean in closer for warmth. The soft fur that covers Beomus makes you so comfy. You don't need to say anything because there's only one thing you both could be thinking at a time like this. You wanted to say it anyway, but he beats you to the punch.

“I love you Tabal.”

“And I love you Beomus.”
